Caryn Lerman named interim director of the Abramson Cancer Center

Caryn Lerman, Ph.D., a secondary faculty member at Annenberg, has been named interim director of Penn's Abramson Cancer Center.

Faculty news

The news media is frequently turning to Annenberg for commentary as the mid term elections draw near. Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D., the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor of Communication and Director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center, has offered her insights in numerous stories, including:

- The emergence of the term "Man Up."

- The ins and outs of the New York Governor's race, and the Delaware U.S. Senate race.

Prof. Jamieson also recently talked to an assembly at Syracuse University about President Obama's campaign promises.

The book Playing Doctor: Television, Storytelling, and Medical Power by Joseph Turow, Ph.D., the Robert Lewis Shayon Professor of Communication, was reviewed recently on the web site TVOvermind.com.
