Annenberg USC Dean to deliver Walter and Leonore Annenberg Distinguished Lecture in Communication Ernest J. Wilson, III, Ph.D., Dean of the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California, will deliver the 19th Annual Walter and Leonore Annenberg Distinguished Lecture in Communication on Monday, March 21. Book by Annenberg alumni and Prof. Kathleen Hall Jamieson honored The Obama Victory: How Media, Money, and Message Shaped the 2008 Election, written by Kate Kenski (Gr ’06), Bruce Hardy (Gr ’10), and Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D., has been honored with the 2010 American Publishers Award for Professional and Scholarly Excellence in the area of government and politics. Prof. Zelizer discusses her new book on public radio outlets in Northern and Southern California. Paper by Prof. Krippendorff reaches a milestone. Doctoral candidate Susan Haas will present a paper at a conference "Stimmen der Freiheit - Westliche Provokation? Radio Free Europe", April 28-30, in Munich and Prague. The conference is sponsored by Collegium Carolinium (Charles University), The Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes, and Czeske Centrum in Prague; along with Ludwid-Maximilians-Universitat in Munich. Haas's paper is titled "Journalism in Radio Free Europe's Central News Room during Cold War: A Foundational Description and Analysis".
