Prof. Cappella receives $1 million NIH grant An interdisciplinary team of University of Pennsylvania researchers, led by Annenberg’s Joseph N. Cappella, Ph.D., the Gerald R. Miller Professor of Communication, has received a “EUREKA” grant from the National Institutes of Health to develop anti-smoking appeals. Klaus Krippendorff, Ph.D., the Gregory Bateson Professor of Cybernetics, Language, and Culture, was honored by the World Complexity Society recently. Details here. Michael X. Delli Carpini, Ph.D., Professor of Communication and Walter H. Annenberg Dean, talked to The Philadelphia Inquirer about the ubiquity of media outlets available and everyone's penchant during certain times (like sports playoff season) to use them.
