Prof. Zelizer provides perspective on NYC subway murder images

Many news outlets, particularly the New York Post, carried ghastly images of a man about to be run over by a New York City subway train.  Barbie Zelizer, Ph.D., the Raymond Williams Professor of Communication and author of the book About To Die: How News Images Move the Public, explains the phenomenon in interviews that can be found on Slate.com and Minnesota Public Radio.

Annenberg, Penn faculty on C-SPAN’s BookTV

C-SPAN’s BookTV set up shop in Room 500 of the Annenberg School for Communication this week for a series of interviews with Penn book authors, including four authors from the Annenberg School for Communication.

New book by Prof. Kraidy comes from 2010 Scholars Symposium

Marwan M. Kraidy, Ph.D., Professor of Communication, is the editor of the new book “Communication and Power in the Global Era: Orders and Borders,” containing chapters written by Annenberg faculty, former visiting scholars, and students.

Prof. Turow’s research cited in a New York Times magazine story about how online advertisers build information about consumers.  Additionally, Prof. Turow was named a data privacy pioneer by publisher TRUSTe.
