Khadijah White wins prestigious honor from Penn

Annenberg doctoral candidate Khadijah White has been named the Graduate Student Honoree recipient of the 2012 Women of Color at Penn award. 

New George Gerbner post-doctoral fellow: Susanna Dilliplane

Annenberg doctoral candidate Susanna Dilliplane has been named to a George Gerbner Post-doctoral Fellowship.

Urban teenagers who have sex early tend to act without thinking and be impatient when waiting for rewards, say Annenberg’s Atika Khurana and Dan Romer.

Visiting Scholar Murali Balaji, Ph.D. is speaking March 13 to an audience at Tel Aviv University in a talk titled “Producing Borders and Bodies: A Political Economy of Masculinity and Nationalism.”  The same talk will be delivered during a seminar at the University of Haifa on March 20.

Barbie Zelizer, Ph.D., the Raymond Williams Professor of Communication, was interviewed by The Los Angeles Times for a story about the phenomenon behind the Kony 2012 viral video.

Joseph Turow, Ph.D., the Robert Lewis Shayon Professor of Communication, talks about how e-tailers track consumers online during an interview with CNN Money.  Prof. Turow also was quoted in a San Diego Union Tribune story about a Pew Internet survey about ad tracking.

The 2012 presidential campaign and FlackCheck.org remain hot topics in the news, and Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D., the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor of Communication and director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center, is quoted in the coverage, including:
