Emeritus Prof. Amos Vogel: 1921 – 2012

Former Annenberg faculty member and founder of Cinema 16 and the New York Film Festival Amos Vogel died April 24.  He was 91-years-old.

Faculty news

Monroe Price, Director of the Center for Global Communication Studies, published in the International Journal of Communication.

Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D., the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor of Communication and Director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center, talks about President Obama’s developing campaign narrative in a story that appears in several newspapers, including The (Minneapolis, MN) Star-Tribune. She was a guest on the NPR program The Takeaway discussing campaign slogans, and she was interviewed by The Huffington Post about third party spending in primaries.

FactCheck.org has won both the Webby and the People's Voice awards for best political website.

Student news

Omar Al-Ghazzi to speak at University of Illinois Symposium.

Christopher Ali published in the International Journal of Communication.

Mr. Ali also was quoted in a news report on a conference in Montreal about the changing nature of journalism.

Tim Libert interviewed for a story in Fast Company about using social media technology to track protesters like those with Occupy Wall Street.

Rowan Howard Williams, Prof. Elihu Katz, contribute chapter to new book.

Lori Young published in Political Communication.
