Prof. Zelizer to deliver Patten Lectures at Indiana University

Barbie Zelizer, Ph.D., the Raymond Williams Professor of Communication and Director of the Scholars Program in Culture and Communication, will deliver two Patten Lectures at Indiana University this month. Prof. Zelizer is one of three Patten lecturers at Indiana this year; the others are screenwriter and director Werner Herzog and anthropologist Sarah Hrdy.

New “3620” podcast – Episode #6: “F” is not for Phreak.

Podcast goes “viral.” A podcast by doctoral student Deborah Lui on the comprehensive exams has gone viral, having more than 3,000 downloads.

Upcoming events

The Rupture Sometimes, a film by Annenberg doctoral student Kevin Gotkin, will be screened on campus this Thursday, October 18, at 4:30 p.m. at the Grad Student Center.  The 30-minute film features nine artists and scholars talking about disability’s promise as an escape from the pre-ordained and an avenue for thinking capaciously about things like empathy, difference, and identity politics.
