The Annenberg Public Policy Center (APPC) sponsored the event “The Role of Journalism in Fact-Checking,” on September 26 at The National Press Club in Washington, D.C. The half-day series of panel discussions featured presentations by Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D., the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor of Communication and Director of the APPC; Brooks Jackson, Director of FactCheck.org; Bruce W.
