Scholars Lecture by Manuel Puppis set for October 2

Visiting scholar Manuel Puppis will deliver the lecture “Communication Policy Research: Looking Back, Moving Forward” on Tuesday, October 2.

The Obama Victory wins Diamond Anniversary Book Award from NCA

The authors of The Obama Victory: How Media, Money, and Message Shaped the 2008 Election by Kate Kenski, Ph.D. (Gr ‘ 06); Bruce W. Hardy, Ph.D. (Gr ’10); and Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D., the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor of Communication and Director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center, have won the Diamond Anniversary Book Award from the National Communication Association.

New edition for Prof. Krippendorff’s book

Congratulations to Klaus Krippendorff, Ph.D., the Gregory Bateson Professor for Cybernetics, Language, and Culture, for the publication of the third edition of his “Content Analysis; An Introduction to Its Methodology” with Sage Publications Inc. copyrighted 2013.

New "3620" podcast

The third installment of the student-produced podcasts looks at the comprehensive exams and asks “what are comps all about?”

Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D., the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor of Communication and Director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center, talked to Bloomberg about what to expect in the upcoming presidential debates.

Prof. Jamieson was a guest on the NPR program The Takeaway on Sept. 19 where she discussed deciding whether or not to believe comments made by political candidates in private. She also talked to The Washington Post about Mitt Romney’s “47 percent” comment.
