A series of radio documentaries produced by Annenberg undergraduate students in Sandra Ristovska’s class “Comm 320: Urban Ethnography: Documenting City Life” will air Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, August 12, 13, and 14 on Philadelphia radio station WURD (900 AM). The radio documentaries, each five minutes long, provide up close reviews of the Black Star Film Festival, the life-changing aspects of participation in West Philadelphia drill teams, and a powerful look at the so-called “School to Prison Pipeline” in Philadelphia. The radio documentaries will air during the 8:40 a.m. news break. Listeners will have the opportunity to call in and comment.
