The Presidential Inauguration; ASC weighs in Kathleen Hall Jamieson, Ph.D., the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor of Communication and Director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center, provided some perspective on President Barack Obama’s second inauguration in stories that appeared in Yahoo News and in The Daily Nation. She was interviewed by The Washington Post and by USA Today about the President’s speech, and she talked to the Associated Press about the President’s post inauguration “to do” list. Visiting Scholar Lilach Nir, Ph.D. (Gr ’05) published in the Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media. Prof. Mutz presents her research at SPSP Political Psychology preconference. Congratulations to Annenberg doctoral students Devon Brackbill and Sally Jingwen Zhang and members of “Team FitPhilly” for advancing to the finals of the Fels Institute of Government’s Public Policy Challenge. The second semester of Annenberg’s student-produced podcasts features a mashup of past Presidential inauguration speeches. Jan. 23 – CECCR Speaker Series – Catherine Maclean – noon in Room 500.
