Prof. Guobin Yang publishes essay in Scientific American. (You can join the conversation on Twitter: @AnnenbergPenn, #China_Twitter.)

Additionally, Prof. Yang will speak at the event, “Media & Asian Globalization: China and India, 1977 – Present,” at New York University this weekend.

The Center for Global Communication Studies’ Iraq media program contributes to report on avoiding inflammatory language in news reporting. Join the conversation on Twitter (@AnnenbergPenn, #ASC_Iraq).

A team from CGCS has produced a detailed infographic spelling out the lengths Iran goes to in order to censor the internet.

Prof. Kathleen Hall Jamieson interviewed on The Takeaway on gun lobbying spending. She also was recently interviewed by Politico.com about partisan wrangling over a federal budget.

Additionally, Prof. Jamieson will present the talk “Fact, Fallacy and Fantasy in Political Advertising” at the University of Texas at Austin College of Communication on April 15.

Student news

Doctoral candidate Piotr M. Szpunar will participate in a panel discussion on March 30 on history and cultural memory as part of the creative practice during the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts.
