Well wishes for Prof. Elihu Katz Prof. Elihu Katz, one the founding fathers of communication research, will be moving to Emeritus status at the end of this academic year. Annenberg will celebrate his career with the Elihu Katz Colloquium on March 7. Please help us celebrate his many contributions as a scholar, practitioner, colleague, and friend by recording your personal memories, stories, and well wishes in an online forum. Prof. Joseph Turow talked to The Philadelphia Inquirer about what marketers can know about us via big data. Annenberg’s Winneg, Prof. Jamieson, Hardy published in Presidential Studies Quarterly. Prof. Marwan M. Kraidy writes about Turkish television programming in Flowtv.org. Annenberg’s Alvin Felzenberg wrote a review of the book Blinking Red: Crisis and Compromise in American Intelligence after 9/11 for The Weekly Standard. Dan Romer from the Annenberg Public Policy Center talked to The Daily Pennsylvanian about his research into adolescent’s use of alcohol. Andy Tan, Ph.D. (Gr ’13) published in Health Communication. Debora Lui will be a panelist at the South by Southwest Education Conference (SXSWEdu) March 3 for a presentation titled “Learning with Digital and Participatory Maps.
